 Dubai Media City was the region’s first free zone catering to companies in all sectors of the media, ranging from print and broadcast media through to advertising and public relations.

Nearby, Dubai Internet City has drawn in major multinational companies, but local IT firms are also basing themselves in the complex.

Dubai Media City launched in 2000 with more than 50 outlets, but is now home to more than 850 firms and 5,000 workers.

Dubai Internet City also opened in 2000 and more than 5,500 people are employed there.
